Pronouns: they/them, he/him

CJ Munro, LPCC, MA, works with families, couples, individuals, and teens. CJ is currently obtaining their AASECT certification and has a focus in Gottman Method couples counseling, trauma, mindfulness, and sex therapy. As a non-binary, trans-affirming member of the LGBTQ+ community, CJ knows how important it is to find a therapist who is an ally and lived experiences of your concerns. Their person-centered approach empowers individuals to become the author of their own journey, obtain safety, and joy!
CJ is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) and a member of the American Association for Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT). CJ earned a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Naropa University.
CJ holds membership to the American Psychological Association Human-Animal Interaction (APA HAI). Their graduate school capstone project on Ethical Transference in Human-Animal Interactions is included in a training video for therapists obtaining their Certificate of Education in Animal Assisted Therapy from the Animal Assisted Therapy Programs of Colorado (AATPC). As a life-long learner, CJ looks forward to becoming an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist (CST) through the California Institute of Integral Studies.
Outside of office life, CJ considers themself to be a “degreeless biologist” who loves to backpack, forage, and tell exciting stories of wild animal encounters. They enjoy road trips to National Parks, going on adventures with their dog, and are always up for a board game night!
